Poll shows strong support for voter ID law:
A new Elon University Poll finds that nearly three-quarters of North Carolina residents – not voters – would support some sort of photo identification requirement to vote.
The survey found that only 24 percent opposed the law.
The spin: “Last year, the General Assembly passed a voter photo ID law and our governor vetoed it,” said John Robinson, the poll's communications director. “It's likely that the legislature will bring it up next month in an attempt to override the veto. It appears they can do it, knowing that a majority of North Carolinians are behind them.''
If you don't want an ID, you are doing something nefarious.
