Mel Watt Part of Socialist Caucus?

Mel Watt Part of Socialist Caucus?:
(HT: Tony Grapes)
It was reported a while back that Congressman Mel Watt is among 70 House members who belong to the Democratic Socialists of America.  It is even described as a socialist "caucus" in the House.
This would be unsurprising to me because I am familiar with Watt's voting record.  In addition, the national Democratic Party has become virtually indistinguishable from the Democratic Socialists.
The sad reality is that they might have won their long-term struggle.  If the Supreme Court refrains from overturning Obamacare, chances are that they will have attained their goal of establishing a social Democratic state.
Even if Mitt Romney is elected in the fall, many have ample reason to doubt he will exert much effort to repeal Obamacare.  He is the kind of Republican who-- not unlike our "conservative" counterparts in Great Britain-- will be quite content to nibble at the edges of the socialist state.  I hope I am wrong about that.
Note, by the way, that Democrats such as Watt are hardly ever labeled as "extremist" or "ultraliberal" or "far left".  These labels are rarely used even when the elected official self-identifies with the socialists.
